Race 13.1 Raleigh

This weekend is the Fall Race 13.1 in Raleigh. There is also another Race 13.1 Raleigh that occurs in the spring. The race course follows three different greenways that parallel creeks. The race begins in on Rowen Street in front of St Timothy’s Episcopal Church. After descending through neighborhood streets, the course enters the Mine Creek Greenway. The race follows the creeks to the junction with Crabtree Creek Greenway then heads west following a new creek. At the junction of with the House Creek Greenway the course continues on Crabree Creek for an out and back section returning to the same junction then doing another out and back section on House Creek Greenway. Arriving at the junction for the third time, the course follows the Crabtree Creek Greenway back to the Mine Creek Greenway climbing through the neighborhood to the finish. There is a 10K and 5K race that follows the first part of the half marathon course.

All three races are USATF certified and there are classes at five year intervals from 20 to 69. a 19 and under class and a 70 and over class. The event is put on by Race 13.1 and begins at 7:15 am.
