Raleigh Greenway Half Marathon and 10K

This Sunday morning is the Raleigh Greenway Half Marathon and 10K. The starting line is on Neuse View Drive just north of the entrance to Anderson Point Park. Runners first head away from the greenway towards North Rodgers Lane then southeast to South New Hope Road before making a loop though an industrial park and back to North Rodgers Lane. Once the field is spread out, the course makes a turn onto Robbins Drive and another turn onto Anderson Point Drive and into the park. At about mile four the easy transition from road to the Neuse River Greenway occurs and course heads south following the waterway to the turn around and returns to the finish in the park. For competitors interested in a shorter distance there is a 10K.

Finishers will received an award if they are the top three males and females overall, top three senior males and females or top three in the age categories. The age intervals include 19 and under, five year increments from 20 to 70 and a 70 and over.
