22 – 28 November 2017

Running:

It would not be Thanksgiving time without many holiday themed races.

Make room for Thanksgiving Dinner ahead of time by running the Gallop and Gorge 8K

Not only are kids excited and Thanksgiving but the Gobblers Run 5K benefits them as well.

Run the Ridgewood Turkey Trot at the shopping center before the craziness begins.

You will have to do more than trot to win a trophy at the Trophy Trot 10K.

Run after the Thanksgiving’s main course in Umstead at the Turkey Chase 5K, 10K or 20K

Driving:

Get some ideas for a future car project at Cars and Coffee Wake Forest with a variety of cars and trucks to look at.

If you want to burn off the most fat on Thanksgiving Day run the Skinny Turkey Half Marathon or if you want to go easy there is the Just Think First 5K.

Instead of running after a soccer ball, just go running at the soccer park at the Cary Unity Walk & Fun Run.

Run into the woods using your brain to keep from getting lost while competing in the Into The Woods 5K to benefit the Woods Charter School.

At the Kool Dans 4 Life 5K Run for Epilepsy be entertained signing and dancing while improving the live of others.

Provide happiness to children and their families during a challenging time in their lives by running the Ronathon 5K .

Running:

The Eve Carson Memorial 5K is run in remembrance of a former UNC student body president’s legacy of outstanding leadership and community service.

Instead of herding cats there is herd of runners benefiting cats at the Purr Partners 5k Run Until They All Have A Home.

Cycling:

As if last weekend’s Umstead Gravel Grinder was not enough to wear out all the mountain bikers, TORC is having the 6 Hours of Briar Chapel this weekend.

The North Carolina Cyclocross series returns to the area with NCCX Race 6 in Durham after Race 2 was held last month in Raleigh.

Driving:

The monthly Cars and Coffee Morrisville car enthusiast gathering where owners bring their own cars and view a variety of others.

The City of Oaks Marathon is held on city streets and greenways in Raleigh and is part of the growing list of area marathons.
