State of North Carolina Highway 751 is part country road and suburban street that connects US Highway 64 west of Apex, NC with US Highway 70 Business in Durham, NC. The southern part of NC 751 is a two lane country highway lined with houses and sections of forest as seen in the picture below.
In idea weather, opening the windows and sunroof or putting the top down is fun to do on this part of the road. The country highway crosses White Oak Creek just before it empties into Jordan Lake and the lake itself after Northeast Creek empties into the lake.
As the road enters Durham County and crosses Interstate 40, bike lanes for cycling are added, house become apartments and businesses appear. The country becomes suburbia and the road gains a few lanes in each direction. After many blocks, the two lane street returns as it continues into tree lined suburban neighborhoods of south Durham with sidewalks for running.
The street widens again near Duke University, in the picture above, as it passes campus buildings and a parking deck. The highway goes underneath US 501, enters the scenic Duke Forest and crosses into Orange County just before the highway ends at the US 70 Business intersection.
