Holly Springs Half Marathon

This Saturday morning is the inaugural Holly Springs Half Marathon. The course is an out, around the lake and back using greenways, neighborhood streets and connecting parks along the route. The race begins at the North Main Athletic Complex goes through a local neighborhood and Bridgewater Pond. Competitors will run through Veterans Park first and Jones Park second into another neighborhood into downtown and and into Parrish Womble Park. The course heads to Bass Lake Park for a loop and returns to the same path to the end. There is a 5K race for people who want a shorter distance.

Awards will be given to the top two overall male and female runners and top three male and female finishers. The age classes are nineteen and under, ten year intervals between twenty and sixty-nine, and seventy and over.
